HP Specter x360

Mini review: HP Specter x360

Pc Review

The HP Specter x360 is a gem to watch. The convertible with its dark gray aluminum casing and gold colored accents has an equally sturdy and chic appearance.

The notebook is very solid and the screen is well fixed – no wobbling while typing. This while the display can be tilted completely, to use it as a tablet or to put it in tent mode. The version of 39 cm (15.6 inches) is a bit awkward as a tablet, but it does come into its own when watching movies.

4K benefits

You can already see it on the price: this laptop is primarily intended for professional image editors. They have most of the fast specifications (including an Intel i7 CPU and 16 GB ram) that are part of it. But also on the 4K screen, which pushes up the price even further. We open a 4K movie project in Adobe Premiere to sweat the laptop a lot, and what turns out? The device is robust, even with heavy tasks such as color correction and rendering of images. It is intended that you keep a power outlet nearby because, with a screen at maximum brightness, we see the battery status significantly less.

Gates through

And you do not want to dim that image, because the color reproduction is excellent. That comes in handy among other things in photo editing, for which a nice stylus is also included. In daily use, it is noticeable that the ventilation quickly becomes noisy. The main criticism of the design is that there is only one standard USB port. Furthermore, we find two USB-C connections back, but keep in mind that you quickly look for a reducer.
